Exoskeleton Technology

A “powered exoskeleton”, also known as powered armor, or exoframe, is a powered robot consisting primarily of an exoskeleton-like framework worn by a person and a power supply that supplies at least part of the activation-energy for limb movement.

Here at REHAB Hospital, we have partnered with Ekso Bionics who has harnessed this technology to help our spinal cord injury patients regain the ability to walk upright again.

With the Ekso Pro’s planned clinical debut in early 2012, REHAB Hospital is one of 10 Leading Rehabilitation Hospitals to introduce this technology worldwide.

Technology has changed “No you can’t” to “Yes you can”.
