The REHAB Difference: Hawaii’s Highest-Rated & Only Certified IRF
Choosing where you go for rehabilitation after a life-changing event is a critical decision. REHAB Hospital of the Pacific is proud to be Hawaii’s only certified Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) —not a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or custodial care center. This distinction matters. While some SNFs market themselves as providers of “rehabilitation”, they are not hospitals, and do not provide the same level of intensive inpatient rehabilitation.
At an IRF, patients receive a minimum of 3 hours of therapy per day, 5 days a week (or 15 hours per week) and have daily oversight from a specialized rehabilitation physician. This higher standard of care is the key to a stronger, faster recovery.
