REHAB’s community groups are an important resource for our patients and their families. They provide access to peer support, educational opportunities, and fun activities that can be helpful to patients’ continued wellbeing. Read more about our current community groups below!
Adaptive Sports
REHAB’s adaptive sports are a safe space for our community with physical disabilities to experience the fun of sports activities alongside others who face similar challenges.
Amputee Support Group
The Amputee Support Group is led by local organization, Aloha Limbs. Individuals living with limb loss and limb differences–family members and caregivers included–come together to talk story and provide support for one another.
Creative Arts Program
At REHAB's Creative Arts Program, patients connect with others who can relate to their experiences all while learning new artistic skills. The program is intended for current or former REHAB patients with neurological or physical impairments (i.e. stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, etc.).
Spinal Cord Injury Mentorship Program
In the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Mentorship Program, inpatient SCI survivors have 1:1 support sessions with trained mentors. The clinical team matches the participating inpatient with a mentor based on similar injury, gender, and lifestyle.
Stroke Club
REHAB’s monthly Stroke Club features informative guest speakers and activities such as tai chi and music therapy. Attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments and take the opportunity to connect with other stroke survivors after the session’s programming.
